Black dress, dark brown sandals?
I have always believed that if you wear black clothes, you shouldn't wear brown shoes with them. Now I've got a knee injury and I can't wear a lot of my shoes. I have a black knee-length dress and I am wondering if I can wear it with dark brown platform slides. Total fashion don't? Or am I being too strict?

My opinion is that when you wear a solid colored dress, you always want to match your shoes with that color. It just looks better, but if you have a knee injury then you may not want to push it, and just deal with what you can. Your not being strict at all, and definitely not a "fahion don't" I just believe that sticking to one color looks best.

What sandals should I wear with my thobe for Eid?
I'm a guy and I bought myself a brown thobe to wear for Eid. Now I'm trying to decide what footwear to wear with it. Which pair of sandals should I wear?

They both look comfortable. I couldn't wear the first pair because I need a strap at the back. If your thobe is brown the first pair would probably work better and would be easier to remove when you enter the mosque.
